Timothy Tumbo Mwania professionally known as Tumbo Usu is a Kenyan Newskul Benga (Kanindo or Afro Champeta) artist, songwriter, Culture icon and Producer. Tumbo Usu is popular for his style and sweet rhythm of songs written in his native language (Kamba/swahili). Born and raised in a small Village in Kenya, Tumbo developed his passion in music playing Piano at a local church. He later moved to Nairobi City in search of greener pastures. His music career started singing Bongo music and playing guitar and piano for local bands and in Talent shows. His life took an unexpected turn when he couldn't keep up with City life and ended up homeless living in the streets for an extended period of time. He later decided to move back to his village where he re-discovered himself playing local Kamba Benga music on Social Media. He has quickly gained popularity winning over fans from Africa, South America and the USA. His fans describe his rhythms as “authentic African music” which makes you feel like dancing. Some say it reminds them of the good old music tunes.
